A few days ago, the ERT made publicly available a small part of its audiovisual archive: http://www.ert-archives.gr Although this move is considered an important first step towards the public availability of a unique collection, the administrative (?) decision to stream the material over a proprietary, commercial product made open/free, participatory/p2p and commons-oriented communities to protest. We must never forget that ERT is sustained by a form of obligatory taxation were greek residents have been contributing to the accumulation of this cultural wealth. We all wonder, who is behind all these? Who's decision was to design such a platform?
